Abrasives We Use

Recycled Bottle Glass is an engineered “sandblasting” media manufactured from 100% Recycled Bottle Glass. Crushed bottle glass is a good general purpose abrasive and is approved for use in numerous federal and state government agencies, and military branches. ESCA Bottle Glass works great in both slurry-systems, vapor, dustless and dry-blast equipment.

Sugar Sand is a fine-grit, white silica sand. Because of its round grain shape, it produces a smoother surface than angular particles without damaging the substrate. Similar to the cost and performance of glass beads, sugar sand is used for light-duty blasting, cleaning, and surface preparation.

Glass Bead is of uniform size and hardness formulated of chemically inert soda-lime glass. The impact of the beads removes foreign substances from the base surface without contamination and dimensional change. Applications range from cleaning, cosmetic, deburring and light peening. It is one of the most versatile blast finishing materials available.

Fine Garnet is composed of natural garnet grains that are known for their natural hardness, durability and abrasive characteristics.  It is a cost-effective alternative to silica sand, mineral slags and steel grits and shot as the perfect symbiosis of grain size, density and hardness/durability creates the optimum abrasive efficiency – lowest abrasive consumption (kg/m2) at the highest production rates (m2/hr).
